Miss Attitude clouted with eight pound rating increase after convincing Sandown victory

Mick Channon’s 2-year-old maiden winner, Miss Attitude, was given a penalty of +8 pounds after a surprise win last Thursday at Sandown in The British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes (Class 4). Romping home at 16/1, Charlie Bishop’s mount certainly caught the eye of the BHA ratings team who have increased her mark to 79 from 71.

The filly made all with a 5lb advantage over the colts to win by a length from Danger Alert in second. With the highly rated Bailey Gate (OR 82) back in fourth, this win looks even better with other factors taken into account.

Miss Attitude is due to run at Newbury on Friday in the 3.40, Follow @Betvictor on Twitter Nursery Handicap, over five furlongs. I don’t see OR 79 making too much difference over the straight five furlongs and, if her form at Sandown holds, Miss Attitude could make all again.
