A spokesperson for GBGB, said: “Pursuant to Rule 160(vii), we can confirm that the licence of Mr Andrew Lisemore, Racing Manager at Towcester Racecourse, has been temporarily suspended. As regulator, we remain committed to ensuring that the Rules of Racing are upheld across our sport, and by all individuals within it, so that the highest standards of welfare and integrity are maintained.
The co-authors of the recent open letter to the GBGB, trainer Phil Milner and owner George Sell, have put together a working group to represent industry stakeholders in the forthcoming discussions with the board.
To me, greyhound racing is truly like no other sport out there. And, being an owner is something else!
Its all about the ladies this evening as this years Coral Brighton Belle getting under way at Hove stadium. There will be six heats run over the 515m distance with the first three from each heat taking their place in the semi finals ( Sat 20th April).
Co-authors trainer Phil Milner and owner George Sell wish to thank everyone who supported the open letter addressed to the board of the GBGB published on the 8th of April. The letter attracted 450 signatures in less than 24 hours, and was signed by many of the sport’s leading trainers (attached and unattached) as well as kennel staff, breeders and owners past and present from across the UK and Ireland.
