Notes from the track

Notes from the track – This page gives you access to my tracking notes. You can use the search feature to find horses that I have made notes on. Either use the notes to identify potential back or lay bets, or use them to update your own trackers. Notes are added frequently.

Tracking Data – Free to access is my tracking database. Use the data to identify horses that have left a positive or negative impression on me at the track. I offer guide ratings for backing and laying horses, which you should use with caution. I have included a range of useful data from my records. These records are updated regularly but please check the date of last update for each record that you are using.

Tracker: Data Sheet

How I use the data sheet to identify potential back bets:

  1. Identify positive impression horses (scores -10 to +10) +10 is the highest impression score
  2. Find the most recent back rating (this is a target rating and acts as a guide)
  3. Make a judgement to back the horse (or not) based on the official rating given to a horse for your chosen race
  4. Compare these details against the field and refine your judgement taking into account all available information
